Miscellaneous Topics

This page provides a selection of ShipLogic's features. Please note that this is only a brief overview, and there is limited space to present all relevant details. The descriptions have been kept concise to give you a general impression of what ShipLogic offers. No rights can be derived from any of the content provided on these pages. For more detailed information on any specific topic, feel free to contact our staff.

MultiPort
ShipLogic is a MultiPort system. A user that is authorised for more than one port can easily switch between ports without leaving the system.

Language, Currency and Unit systems
ShipLogic supports multiple languages, currencies and metric or imperial unit systems.

Maps and Custom Drawing Layers
In addition to the standard map provided by ShipLogic, the system allows users to display alternative map layers, including:

  • Aerial imagery for a detailed overview
  • Nautical layers for maritime navigation
  • Custom-drawn icons and objects for tailored visualisations

Support for WMS and WMTS
ShipLogic supports custom map services via WMS (Web Map Service) and WMTS (Web Map Tile Service). This enables users to import additional map layers that are available online.

Pilots, Tugboats, and Mooring Crews
Functionality for managing pilots, tugboats, and mooring crews is currently under development, with features including:

  • Registration and visibility of service deployments
  • Scheduling and planning of pilotage and mooring services
  • Access to scheduling information for shipping agents

This upcoming feature will further enhance port operations by streamlining the coordination and management of these essential maritime services.

ShipLogic AIS PortStations
To enhance AIS coverage, ShipLogic offers AIS PortStations — compact, intelligent AIS receivers that capture local AIS signals. These devices use cellular connections to transmit AIS data directly to ShipLogic. PortStations are available on a lease basis as part of the ShipLogic PortStation module subscription

Connectivity
The ShipLogic Connect API provides the basis of all integrations and interfacing in ShipLogic. Using this API, connections with external systems such as third party financial systems, VTS/Radar systems, custom portals or any other system can be implemented.
