Dashboard
At the heart of ShipLogic is the dashboard, providing users with an instant overview of the current harbour status and its administrative processing. Using clear colours and visual indicators, ShipLogic intuitively signals whether any actions are required regarding the registration of vessel visits.

Vessels and harbour areas are displayed to scale for an accurate real-time overview. A built-in measuring tool enables users to quickly measure distances, e.g. space between two vessels.

Visual representation of bookings and activities
The system offers a comprehensive visual representation of quay bookings, operations, rented quay segments and activities such as diving operations, events, hot/cold works and reports from port users.

Planning and Scheduling
The integrated Timeline and planning overview provides instant visual insights into present, past and future-planned situations. The Gantt Chart Planning feature provides long-term berth and quay occupancy management.

Easy registration of port calls and shifts
Vessel visits can be quickly created via the dashboard or overview pages, documenting which locations it has visited and its planned destinations.
Users can drag and drop vessels on the map to their new location for a fast and intuitive registration process.

Cargo handling
ShipLogic allows for the registration of handled cargo and/or containers, which can be taken into account in the calculation of port dues.

Quay Booking
The quay booking feature facilitates the management and rental of quay segments or land areas within the port. Bookings range from temporary storage areas to the rental of entire terminals.
Key features:

• Visual representation on the dashboard for an instant occupancy overview.
• Linking of quay usage to vessel visits.
• Automated rental cost calculation based on the linked vessel.

Use Cases:

• Renting storage areas.
• Temporary quay segment rental.
• Use of harbour facilities (e.g., cranes).
• Temporary storage of goods.

The system allows users to specify rental units (e.g., square metres or feet), which are automatically included in invoices and pricing calculations, ensuring an efficient rental process.

Activities Management
ShipLogic allows users to log and manage harbour activities such as:

• Bunkering
• Diving operations
• Events
• Inspections
• Hotworks (welding activities)
• Coldworks
• Other operations

Flexible Registration and Linkage
Each activity is registered with a start and end time and can be logged independently, linked to a vessel visit or 
associated with a specific location (berths, quays, basins, custom-defined areas).

Geographical Visualisation and Planning of Activities
If an activity is location-based, it is automatically displayed on the dashboard, offering real-time insight into ongoing and scheduled operations.
It offers improved operational planning and clear visibility of temporarily unavailable areas (e.g., welding or diving zones).
This enhances efficiency and proactive operational adjustments.

Comprehensive Port Dues Calculation
The port dues calculation features in ShipLogic are extremely flexible and can be configured to match the most complex requirements.

The system can also handle splitting port dues due to transfer of ownership, periodic- and compound billing, and pro-forma invoices.

Invoicing options include direct invoicing from ShipLogic, or via third-party financial systems.

Vessel Exemptions
ShipLogic allows ports to register and apply exemptions for seagoing vessels, including:

• Pilotage exemptions (for captains not requiring a pilot in specific areas).
• VAT exemptions (for vessels with VAT-free visits over a defined period).
• Waste disposal exemptions (for vessels not required to dispose of waste per visit).

These exemptions are linked to the relevant vessels or captains and are automatically applied to port dues calculations, reducing administrative workload and minimising billing errors.

Vessel Visit Subscriptions
ShipLogic supports subscriptions for vessel visits, where a debtor pays a one-time fee and is then allowed unlimited entries and exits within the subscription period:

• Subscription Registration and Linking
  Subscriptions in ShipLogic include a start and end date, and all vessel visits within this period are automatically linked to the subscription.
• Automatic Invoicing and Overlap Management
  When calculating port dues, periods covered by an active subscription are excluded. If a visit overlaps with multiple subscriptions, only the uncovered periods are invoiced.
• Subscription Renewal and Overview
  Renewal statuses are tracked, enabling users to generate an overview of all pending renewals. 

AIS Pipeline with Geofencing
The integrated AIS streaming pipeline supports any number of public or private AIS sources. This enables the detection of vessels entering and/or leaving areas and subareas instantly. Transit and passage tracking are also supported.

Passages
ShipLogic allows users to track vessel movements through specific passage points, such as:

• Locks
• Bridges
• Canal or river passage points

Quick Registration and Route Tracking
Passages can be registered directly from the dashboard, including:

• The route taken.
• The direction of travel (inbound/outbound).

This feature helps ports and waterway authorities monitor traffic flows effectively.

Attachments
Users can upload and link attachments such as scanned documents, images, Office files and more to most types of relevant records in the system.
Each record can hold multiple attachments, ensuring all critical documentation is easily accessible.

Integration with Lloyd’s database
ShipLogic will provide integration with Lloyd’s vessel register for on demand vessel detail retrieval. 

CERS, MSW, PAN
ShipLogic supports PAN processing and offers MSW compliance by our integrated Portbase interface. We have planned native PAN/CERS/MSW processing functionality over the course of this year.
We are actively involved in discussions the European Maritime Single Window (eMSW).
