Port of Twente takes the next step in digitalization with ShipLogic

As of 1 January 2025, Port of Twente will begin using ShipLogic as its new port management information system.

The Harbour Master Team at Port of Twente has chosen ShipLogic as their new port management system, starting 1 January 2025. This decision follows a comprehensive evaluation and aligns with the practices of other ports, such as Port of Zwolle. ShipLogic has now been implemented, and harbour masters Bertil, Etienne, and Shirley have successfully completed their training.

What makes Port of Twente unique is that the team oversees all ports in Almelo, Enschede, Hengelo, Hof van Twente, and Lochem. This operational structure transcends both municipal and provincial boundaries. Frank van Zomeren, Manager of Port of Twente, led the implementation process and is pleased to provide the harbour masters with the solution they requested.

Port of Twente's subscription to ShipLogic includes features such as recording ship visits, calculating port fees, maintaining a 24/7 logbook, and providing interfaces for levies. Invoices generated by ShipLogic are forwarded to the Municipal Tax Office Twente, which manages the collection and distribution of revenues among the municipalities. With ShipLogic’s implementation, skippers can now register and view their ship visits conveniently via the Ship Assist app.
