Two more ports are connected to ShipLogic. One seaport that invoices private-law port dues and an inland port that imposes taxes by public law. Both ports belong to the municipality of The Hague.
The municipality of The Hague has connected to ShipLogic for both seaport Scheveningen and the inland port of The Hague. In less than 3 months, in the middle of the summer, ShipLogic was configured and delivered. Cees Duvekot, operations manager of the port authority: “The implementation went very smoothly. We are happy with ShipLogic, it gives the operators the tools we need 24/7 to manage the ports”. The smooth implementation is partly due to the constructive cooperation of the employees: both operators and staff were involved in the setup of ShipLogic from day 1 and made a valuable contribution.
The implementation for the Municipality of The Hague included:
ShipLogic is also used for the permits for work in the port. These activities, like the ship visits, are drawn on the map. This gives the operator on duty and management insight into what is happening in the port.
The special thing is that Port of Scheveningen invoices port dues under private law and the inland port of The Hague imposes taxes by public law . Both legal forms are arranged as such. Edwin Leemans is involved in the administrative processes from Scheveningen Haven. He played an important role in testing and setting up the port dues calculation for the seaport. “I'm very happy. The entire port fee calculation is well-considered and if I have a question, I am helped quickly”.
This year, a number of ports will be connected to ShipLogic. Do you want to know which ones? Follow us on LinkedIn and stay informed.
