Third port in the Brabant area switches to ShipLogic

Brabant ports continue to innovate with the recent connection of Bergen op Zoom to the modern port management system ShipLogic.

After the Brabant ports of Werkendam and Port of Moerdijk had already chosen ShipLogic, Bergen op Zoom has now also made the switch. Nanda Boer, the manager of the harbour masters of Bergen op Zoom, had ShipLogic on the radar for some time, and now it has happened: Bergen op Zoom is connected.

'ShipLogic is a modern port management system, you can see that in everything. The situation in the port changes by the hour, but ShipLogic keeps track of it closely.' And that provides the insight the team needs. The coordinator and harbor masters work in a semi-continuous schedule, making the transfer and recording of agreements crucial. 'We register everything in ShipLogic so that colleagues have all the information in one place. And if a situation requires consultation, a colleague can easily log in from another location.'

With the introduction of ShipLogic, the collection of port fees has also been extensively digitised. A real-time link has been established with the general ledger system ERPx. As soon as the port fee is determined, ShipLogic immediately processes the charge. The skippers and companies then receive their charge electronically.

With Bergen op Zoom, there are now 28 port areas connected to ShipLogic.
